Contents of the Airway Bill【悟空海运】
Although each airline contains its own forms of the airway bill, in most cases he may choose one recommended by IATA, which also has been called neutral airway bill. Here below is the explanation for each item in the neutral airway bill.
(1) Airport of departure. Fill in the codes (three capital letters) fbr the airport of departure or the departure city's name set by IATA.
(1 A) Fill in the codes of airlines set by IATA.
(IB) airway bill No..
(2) Shipper's name and address: fill in the name, address of the shipper and the country and contact means.
(3) Shipper's account No. : fill it in in case of need.
(4) Consignee's name and address: fill in the name, address of the consignee and the country and contact means. Since the Airway Bill is not negotiable, so such wording as "to order" are prohibited.
(5) Consignee's account No. : the same as the item 3.
(6) Issuing carrier's agent name and city.
(7) Agent's IATA code.
(8) Agentzs account No..
(9) Airport of departure and requested routing: Airport of departure is the same as the item 1.
(10) Accounting information: fill in in case of special payment.
(11) A(C、E). To. Fill in IATA codes of the first (second, third) voyages.
(11) B(D、F). By. Fill in carriers of the first ( second, third) voyages.
(12) Currency: ISO's currency code.
(13) Charging code: payment method.
(14) WT/VAL, weight charge/valuation charge: PPD ( Prepaid ) or COLL ( collect). Payment methods for weight charge and valuation charge should be the same and be paid at the same time.
(15 ) Other: PPD ( Prepaid) or COLL ( collect).
(16) Declared value for carriage: fill in accordingly. In case of no value to be declared, fill in “NVD" ( No value declared).
(17) Declared value for customs: the consignor fill in the value for customs, or fill in "NCV" to show no customs valuation.
(18) Airport of destination: full name of airport of arrival.
(19) Flight/Date： fill in the flight/date for the cargoestransportation.
(20) Amount of insurance: fill in in case the carrier provide insurance business and the customer also needs.
(21) Handling Information： fill in instructions for handling the goods, such as "Shipper's certification for live animals
(22A) - (22L) Air freight rate and charges.
(22A) No. of Pieces RCP, Rate Combination Point: fill in the numbers of packages
(22B) Gross weight: fill in the gross weight.
(22C) Weight unit： kg or lb.
(22D) Rate class: M ( Minimum) , C ( Specific Commodity Rates) , S ( Surcharge) , R ( Reduced) ,N (Normal) Q.
(22E) Commodity item No. : fill in the commodity item No. in case of specific commodity rates.
(22F) Chargeable weight: fill in the chargeable rate calculated for the air freight by the airlines. This weight can or cannot be the same as the gross weight.
(22G) Rate/Charge: fill in the applicable rate.
(22H)Total： fill in the minimum rate or the result of product of rate and chargeable weight.
(221) Nature and quantity of goods including dimensions or volume: the dimension should be by centimeters or inches and take the largest numbers in length, width and height.
(22J ) Numbers of consignments.
(22K) Gross weight of the consignment.
(22L) Total air freight of the consignment.
(23) Other Charges: charges other than the air freight and declared value. According to IATA, three capital alphabets are be filled here, in which the first two indicate the charges ( such as AW, noting for Air Waybill Fee) and the last refers to whom the charge should be paid, C( Carrier) or A (Agent).
(24 -26) Air freight, declared value and taxes, prepaid or collected.
(27 -28) Charges due agent or due carrier.
(29) Individual charges prepaid or collected.
(30) Total amount prepaid or collected.
(31) Signature of consignor.
(32) Issuing date, place, and signature of carrier or agent.
(33) Currency exchange and charges* record at the airport of the destination.
All above items are not necessarily fully filled. And IATA does not disagree any other information thereon. It is of great significance that the standard airway bill has improve the working efficiency of carriers and facilitate the air freight towards to the e 一 commerce.
