International Logistics Forms of Containing of Cargoes【悟空海运】
There are two ways of containing of cargoes in containerization.
FCL( Full Container Load). Full container load refers to the loading, counting and sealing of cargoes into the container will be undertaken by the shipper. Under FCL, the dismantling of cargoes could be handled by the consignee or the CFS if trusteed, but the carrier takes no responsibility of damages to and the shortage of cargoes unless the cargo owner could provide proof of the evidence for such deficiencies.
LCL ( Less Than One Container Load). When the cargoes of one shipper are much smaller than one whole container, such cargoes should be consolidated by the carrier into one container in CFS or an inland freight station with other similar consignments with the same destination. Likewise, the loaded container will be dismantled in CFS or an inland freight station at the destination. So the carrier should be responsible for the consolidating and dismantling, the charges thereof are in the accounts of the cargo owners.
