NVOCC ( Non Vessel Operating Common Carrier). A freight forwarder or shipment consolidator who does not have ownership of the vessel, but assumes responsibilities for the shipments as a carrier and issuing its own bills of lading and airway bills. Meanwhile, NVOCC will, in the name of the shipper, forward the consignment to the actual carrier to undertake the maritime shipping and the whole transportation under the plan tailored for the cargo owners.
Actual Carrier. The carrier with the transport vehicles and/or containers in containerization. The actual carriers own or rent containers for 由eir turning - over, allocating and managing and connecting them with vehicles.
Container Leasing Company. Company making profits from specializing in leasing containers.
Container Terminal Operator. The company providing services related to containerization, including storing, handing over and transshipping of empty or loaded containers at Container Yard (CY), or handling the consolidation of consignments at Container Freight Station ( CFS).
Container Vessel Leasing Company. Company making profits from specializing in leasing container Vessels.
Cargo Owner. The demander of the containerization, usually referring to the shipper or the consignee.
